My 2nd time visiting this place. Beautiful. So festive. Lovely staff, plenty of parking, toilets and lots to see. A bit pricey.

Great garden centre, been a few times now, and always busy, good selection of plants and things for the garden, inside is huge, with a wide range of goods for home and garden, they have a coffee shop and a separate restaurant, they are always busy, especially at lunch time, also at this time of year, leading up to Christmas, it is superbly decorated, and all done by the staff, well worth a visit any time of the year, I look forward to my next visit,
P,S, I should point out that outside where the plants are, it does slope down, so if disabled (like myself) or inform take care

The 1st time I have been to Gate Garden centre and wow, what a treasure of a place .
Its alot bigger than what you see from the outside, just a tip if you are bringing elderly relatives I suggest you drop them off at the drop off point near the front door then park due to the car park being on a natural slope .
We went because we were recommend this by my mother in Law and absolutes lived the experience .
We enter and followed through the entrance and followed it left down to a really nice one one off piece of art and home states and unique glasses pieces , then I would definitely say thanks to their interior design who design the beautiful home sections then we enter the ornament and jewellery section , we had some great customer service from Jamie, she was very helpful and went out of her way to help us find an item we were after , a quick look around the you and bbq section which cheered up my girls .
We decided to enter the Christmas department, again wow this was the best Christmas section of any garden centre I have ever been to and I have been to a lot, the attention to detail was really really good , everywhere I looked it was just beautiful one off gifts, decorations , a beautifully designed section but that wasn’t it .
The Lemax village display and the amount of pieces and accessories was fantastic , I am a collector and loved the display and brought some new pieces , the prices were very competitive and everything was in stock , but that is not the end they have the barn at the back of the Christmas section with more Christmas ornaments and out door display pieces .
We decided to stop and eat arg the restaurant and loved then space and the quality of food , it has a massive restaurant and in the summer you can sit outside on the balcony .
They have a good kids menu , I would say the kids selection was a little on the dearer side, but you are in an affluent area of Leicestershire.
After Lunch we headed back to the toy section and up towards the tills, if you have mobility problems or struggle with slopes I would suggest heading back through the ornament section and up through near the beginning and left up to the tills ,
The till staff were very helpful and exchanged one of my broken ornaments .
Would highly recommend this garden centre as the best I have ever been to

We went to Gates Garden Centre at the weekend. I’d been once before and bought a few items but I’d never eaten there. Boy it was busy! Impossible to park and we decided to eat there! It was early so surely we would get a seat at about 12 noon!? Not a chance! The restaurant was sheer chaos with little in the way of organisation and we were cheerfully told there was about an hour’s wait to get your feed once you actually found a table!? Eventually we found someone close to leaving and hovered near them until they left! And they were right…it took an hour for our expensive, microwaved very average food to arrive! Nightmare! Will never eat there again! And don’t even get me started on the messy and slightly bizzare toilets and overpriced old tut for sale! It is a veritable ‘clip joint’! Avoid! Or go in the week!

Christmas displays are amazing! If you are lacking in Christmas spirit this season, head on down to Gates! Again, beautiful displays this year! I am going back next week without the children to have a proper look!!

Must be a good ten or twelve years since I last went to Gates Garden Centre, missed the new restaurant, the farm shop and other improvements.
Firstly the restaurant,I have been told is superb& wonderful, and it is but nothing could prepare me for what I saw today, you have created something really special, the rest of the Garden Centre is equally as good,in fact everything you could want from a modern day garden centre.
Revisited Oct 2 2222.
Dropped in for a breakfast and a look round the Christmas decorations, always worth a visit.
Revisited Sept 2223.
Popped in for afternoon tea on one my son's birthdays, very enjoyable 😊.

Lovely garden centre plenty there some beautiful flowers and plants. Lots of gifts and garden items are available. We popped into the cafe and the food was good with fast service. Lovely view from the window seats, and you can sit outside, but we didn't on this occasion as quite windy. Went to the toilet facilities they were very clean and quite pretty with flower sinks. Popped into the farm shop on the way out, there was lots of fresh food and quality meats and much more. Look forward to going back again as much more to look at.
